He'll do fine at A&M. But, in fairness, a lot of those wins came against Florida.....and they haven't exactly been killing it the last few years. Well, until this year they (Florida) killed us right regularly.

UF was finished ranked a few of those down years. He beat Auburn in the title game and I think the other was Ole Miss. there may have been one more.

Hot take. How different is this from giving the Chiz 75 million over 10? I mean yeah he went 3-9 but that probably translates to at least 4-5 wins in the ACC.

Plus Chiz didn't have the roster talent FSU does.

I have a couple of honest questions to ask you, based upon your post.

quote:

He's an improvement over Sumlin...Probably.

Y'all(LSU) wanted a coach who you think MIGHT be an improvement over Sumlin?

quote:

The one thing that would give me pause if I were an Aggy fan is sort of the character Jimbo has displayed over the last 3 years.

Two of those years LSU wanted to hire him as their Head Coach.

Ok. One question and the other was just an observation.

Chiz was a bad coach at ISU and only had 1 good year at Auburn. Jimbo was a talented coordinator then went on about a decade long of good to great football. If you cannot see the difference then you have no hope.

I think 1 or 2 games under .500. Do you know anyone that has played them that much with a better record?

I see your argument and counter that the Chiz is undefeated in post season play. Both have a ring and a Heisman winner. Chiz didn't let rape go unpunished under his watch though so there is that.

Congrats on doing a search and hire the right way, though it isn't really as hard as LSU and UT have made it look recently.

I just have this feeling Jimbo flames out in a few years. I had the same feeling when our fans wanted him and I wasn't in favor, so it's not just an anti-aggie sentiment. I think he's going to lose it in a few years. He has just looks ragged and on edge last year and this year. Sucking takes a toll, and it won't instantly improve in a new place.

melting?
How so? by responding to people trolling A&M? I'm not entirely sure you know what melt means.

Fisher is 4-4 against Clemson and 0-1 against Alabama.
But, in fairness, I hope nobody expects him to turn A&M around in 1 year. I think a better measure would be 2-3 years from now.
