Our source says 2 year bowl ban, 4 years probation, 13 schollies and $179k penalty. Trying to get second confirmation.

It could have been worse but the bowl ban part is the kicker.

13 scholarships is nothing. I was expecting in the 20's. That's where the real damage is done.

ETA: The SEC rant may explode if Ole Miss somehow found them in 2012 Ohio States position the next two years and couldn't go. It would be schadenfreude of the highest order.

The additional bowl ban for 2018 is where the teeth are at in this one.

The 2 year bowl ban and the probation aren't weak. Should allow for transfers. The scholarship reductions are weak.

if they show caused all the coaches named, then the NCAA is showing a shift away from punishing a school toward punishing the coaches themselves, which should curb some of the cheating.

Yeah the second bowl ban is the worst part because of transfers.

No LOIC is a blessing. I can deal with another bowl ban year.

It's not. Their roster will be plundered now.

The way it should have been all along. Coaches shouldn't be able to cheat their asses off and then get "fired" and run off to another school to avoid punishment.
