Honest question regarding Committee and SEC

I don't want to pick on Miss St. But they are 8-4 and the committee has them ranked #23. They are 1 of 2 4-loss teams in the rankings.
MSU played 4 teams this season not from a P5 conference. They were...
Charleston Southern
LA Tech
BYU
UMass
So they won 4 SEC games and are ranked #23. Does anyone else think this ranking may be inflated?
Then you have the charging Bulldogs of Fresno St coming in at #25. A non P5 team that is 9-3.
It all just seems so obvious that CFP Committee is bolstering Alabama's resume.
Understand I'm not making a call on how good or bad Alabama is. If there is some chaos though, we all know they will be in the field. I get it, they have 1 loss. But I don't think the committee should be jockeying the teams ranked 10-25 just to support a decision they've already made. That would be weak.
Everybody knows Alabama played a weak schedule. It's not their fault. And it doesn't mean they shouldn't get in or that they're not a Top 4 team (depending on the championship games of course).
I just think the committee has been very inconsistent and shows some bias. Are SEC fans able to see this?

There seems to be no rhyme or reason with the committee.

Relax Boomer Sooner, Bama will not get in regardless of who wins or loses this weekend. Winner of Auburn - Georgia will be the only SEC team in the playoff.

Until their loss to in-state rival Ole Miss, their losses were to Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia. So either Miss State was fairly strong or those teams were overrated. Their OOC was barely below teams like UTEP and Tulane, so if you want to evaluate weak OOC, then look at other teams as well. Miss State is an extremely difficult school to recruit really good talent to, so this level of success is rewarded.
They came very close to beating Alabama. Bama is weaker this year than normal, but still a tough team.

It's really pretty simple:
3 of those 4 losses are to teams #2, #5, #6 in the CFP rankings.
The other was a close loss where their star QB was carted off the field in the first quarter with a horrendous looking ankle injury.
Otherwise,
they beat #17 LSU by 30 points
beat bowl eligible Kentucky by 38 points
beat bowl eligible Texas A&M Away by 21.
Are there really so many teams ranked below them with such better resumes that this is such a mystery or conspiracy?
By the way, Fresno St did just beat #23 Boise St last week (to go with their convincing earlier Away win over SD St.)
Don't recall anyone crying about SD St or Boise being at the bottom of the rankings much of the season.

Besides a rival game where our qb went out on the second possession, our only losses were Bama, Georgia, and Auburn. We also blew out a currently ranked team. We may be too high, but that’s likely most of the committee’s reasoning.

Who did you lose to? You'll see where this is going real soon your honor, one more question maybe.

Dirt farmer thread. Didn’t read. Auto-downvote. Spam elsewhere.

You have exactly the same chance convincing the SEC crowd that one of their own is ranked too high as you would convincing the CFP committee that ranking 3 SEC teams in the top 6 “might” be perceived by the non-SEC fans the fix is on to get 2 SEC teams in.

Spot 1 SEC Champ
Spot 2 ACC Champ
Spot 3 Wisconsin if they win...If OSU wins???
Spot 4 Oklahoma if they win...If TCU wins....Bama!

their ranking isn't any more inflated than the entire big ten conference.

Both these teams were ranked in the ap poll and msu is ranked in both the coaches and ap poll. Fresno State is top other receiving votes in the coaches.(aka 26)
Is the committee leaving a door open for Alabama on purpose? Maybe, but it is hard to believe they are in cahoots with all of the sports writers in the ap poll who also ranked Fresno State, and then the coaches must be in on the bias for ranking MSU too. I mean how many people are in on it? Hundreds? Can that many people keep a secret?
Most people just look at the top teams a team played and ignore the other stuff that factors in to strength of schedule. Bama is currently at 46 and tOSU is at 50(will pass Bama's after Saturday, but not by much) The committee looks into things like W-L vs top 40 Bama is 4-1 tosu is 3-2(potentially 4-2) The committee has a history of being hard on teams who get blown out. This is what kept PSU out last year. They are not going to forget that 31 point beat down by unranked Iowa. Nor that 15 point loss at home your team put on them. The committee looks at things like, How many wins over bowl eligible teams. Bama has 5 right now, but will likely have six if Florida State beats ULM in their rescheduled game. tOSU has 4 I think I saw.
Anyway, my point is that in order for you to understand the committee's rankings, Then you should understand everything they are looking at. What you see as perceived SEC bias, is actually based on facts and stats. The bias is there because the committee, coaches, and ap voters correctly perceive the SEC WEST as being the strongest in college football. The east does not get this boost. Georgia got it because both of their west opponents are ranked teams and the squeaked out a win against Notre Dame on the road. They also look at things like game control, and margin of victories. Bama scores very well in these categories. They do take into account injuries and cut some slack for that too.
