Can you imagine an hour long late night talk show just about sports from a comedy angle...not one word about politics? Imagine a personality with a Jimmy Fallon or Jay Leno personality cracking about UT in his opening monologue all week. Comedy gold. I'd watch.

Jump to conclusions. It is a game, where you jump to conclusions.

Stay away from John Currie.

If they did this, it would have to be someone like Spurrier or Les hosting it

I think this is a great idea. I’d watch!

ESPN doesn’t deserve saving.

The SEC Network should do it

Make it a little like Tosh.0.

That would work. Even better.
Seriously. Think of the guests.
Spurrier. Miles. Leach. Pearl. The list would go on and on. No shortage of comedy, no matter what time of year.
Think of all the funny lines we've read just this week, just on this website. Then imagine someone doing a monologue on national cable TV.

They need to sell it to a group that will move it out of that liberal black hole in the Northeast to save it. Otherwise, strike a match.

I actually agree. Would be pretty fun to watch.
My vote is Will Ferrell since he is such a sports fan. Comedy gold.

ESPN's problem is politics not sport. They want to act like a propaganda arm for politics while also being a sports peddler.....fricking pick one.
The Michael Sam shite was the end for me. I don't care about gays being married or doing whatever / whenever however plastering it all over the TV with 2 dudes making out on television when my kids watch Television with me was the final straw. frick ESPN.

Put it on ESPN

just stick to sports. show games, scores, etc. no opinion shows, no commentary, no thoughts, no twitter reactions from athletes, no opinions from athletes on anything other than the game - just sports. pretty simple

Let's also add in, while the politics have hurt them.
The bigger issue for all cable channels is the internet. Netflix, Sling, Redbox, etc have created a lesser demand for ESPN. I can stream any sport in the world for free.
ESPN was the most expensive cable channel in the country by a large scale. Regular ESPN cost 5 dollars per consumer, while AB cost less than a dollar for comparison.
ESPN boomed because of the cost of their networks, with basic 68 channel packages giving them 8 bucks a pop for three ESPN based channels. Now that cable is dying, they lose billions a year because of this.
Add in their political baggage and it's a down fall

Yeah...and especially comedy, especially the monologue. No Hollywood people. No politicians. No musical guests.
Can you imagine Will Ferrell cracking on Tennessee all week in the monologue? How about Ferrell hosting behind the desk with guest Spurrier on the couch, and Ferrell's asking him about UT this week.

This, and let Kiffin host it...
Maybe do a skit called "Toshs Transvestite Triangle".
