So hilariously incorrect? First it was GRUDCON, then you run off Schiano because of his “questionable past,” then Gundy says no after several “insiders” say he has taken the job.

What is up with Tennessee fans? Is there something in the water? Have they lost touch with reality? Are they stuck in the 90s?

I think everyone except a few UT fans on the rant knew Gruden was never an option, so I always hope it was just for fun.
They have taken up the "we never wanted that guy anyway" messaging pretty well though. Which makes some of it funnier overall.

Most fans aren’t as connected as they think and don’t have access to true insider info. I understand it is different on Hogville and 99% of those folks have inside knowledge.

Not everyone is blessed like this.

There’s a reason why many of us on here stay away from Tardville. Place is a total shitshow. Guess that’s why our posters are so reasonable here with that place as a contrast.

Because Haslam is the only one making decisions for UT, so all other boosters and athletic dept folks are actually out of the loop.

Every program has a value to the media...there is an ugly underside where sometimes a programs value is greater in negativity than positive news cycles. Auburn dances between the two from time to time. As an Auburn fan it sucks when you clearly see Auburn's value to the media swing to the negative side. UTk due to substandard performance on the filed clearly only has value negatively right now in the media. However, they still have more value than most programs.

Perfect analogy right there...

It's not just UT...several rumors about several of the open coaching spots were unfounded and invented on message boards. According to the general consensus, AU had conceded that Gus was heading to Arkansas and were beginning to focus on Bobby Petrino

As a Tennessee fan I can honestly say I never wanted or believed he was coming. He sits down in his house in Florida putting together fake staff's and draws out plays. He's not coaching because he hasn't found a perfect staff and roster. The guy questions his own confidence.
