Normally a coach being fired wouldn't affect me at all, usually it's needed. But for some reason I feel bad for the guy.

Look at his wife.

Look at his bank account.

He will be fine.

Arky has to rebuild, he just needs to diet.

Yea I'm sitting here thinking about how rough it is getting fired and then being handed a seven figure check. I'm frickin choking up as I type this.

No one wanted it to happen. He had the support of the state, he lost that. Even the people that dislike him say he is a nice guy, just not the right coach.

I feel bad that he went through this last season as our head coach, I feel bad we went through this last season with him as our head coach. But he had to go.

Long really should have eased him out the door at the end of last season.

I do hope that our interim AD Julie never has a gun point at me. That lady does not have a problem pulling the trigger.

If I were him, I would sit out a year, get in better shape, go speak on ESPN, and then get back in coaching.

Isn't it wrote in the contract that his son takes over the program? Thought that's how they got Snyder back?

Won't happen. Snyder has strong armed them into making his son the next coach. That's why Jim Leavitt is DC at Oregon instead of on the K State staff. AD wanted him as coach in waiting if he joined and Snyder said no.

Don't feel too bad for him. He will be a head coach again somewhere. He's not a bad coach...just in over his head at Arky against the rest of the SEC.
