Homerun hire my arse... guy is a fricking idiot as a coach. Couldn’t figure out he had it made with Alvarez pulling the strings, and egotistical enough to think he could play big boy ball on his own.
Our misfortune was having Dumbass Long as an AD who couldn’t see things for what they were.
If he’s a homerun hire, I’m sure you’re ready to have him lead your program.

When he was hired, it was universally accepted by everybody, not just Arkansas supporters, that he was a "homerun hire."
If you honestly believed this back then, kudos to you.
But I still think he's a good coach, and Arkansas is a very difficult place to win consistently. I still think he will rebound, and be successful somewhere else. Arkansas will continue being a difficult job for any coach.
ETA: We have Coach O, and we are having a good season with a young team. Let that sink in. I think Bert would win here as well.
