From @MizzouHoops on twitter:
Michael Porter, Jr. will undergo surgery on Tuesday, Nov. 21, in Dallas, Texas. The procedure, a microdiscectomy of the L3-L4 spinal discs, has a projected recovery time of three-four months and will likely cause him to miss the remainder of the season.

That sucks. Hope he has a full recovery and maybe we'll see him next season.
What are the odds he goes to the NBA after this season?

A huge turn around. WE went from Odom getting fired and having a Sweet 16 team to Odom taking us to a bowl and having a NIT team

DAmn that sucks arse. Major arse. Back injuries are no joke. Hope he recovers fully.
Well. His brother prolly sticks around at least two years then to possibly still play with his bro.
He only meager silver lining I got.

I feel like Porter's comments about possibly coming back next year are making a lot more sense now.
I cant imagine NBA teams waste a lottery pick on a dude with back problems.

Can you explain this Tigerboard to me? I signed up.. but I cannot wrap my mind around it. It is the worst forum I have ever used, it isn't mobile friendly, and following a conversation is next to impossible. Aside from the history of it.. why do people use it?

Those comments were before injury.

When was the injury exactly? Does anyone even know when he got hurt?

I believe right before ISU.

I feel bad for the young man. So many expectations, and he hasn’t had the opportunity to show everyone what he can do. Now, he’ll have to wait till next year. That’s a very long time in an 18 yr olds life. I just hope his surgery goes well, and he can get back on his feet and fulfill all his dreams...at Mizzou and beyond!

I don't post on TB so I couldn't say for sure but my guess is just the history of it; people have been there so long they'll stay even with the format...their layout makes my eyeballs bleed.

I'm really gonna be pissed if he doesn't come back next year.

Have we became Tennessee of basketball? It’s always next year
2 Porters, Tilmon, Harris and we will still be young
