1 Ohio State 105
2 Alabama 101
Oklahoma 101
4 Notre Dame 98
5 USC 91
So Bama tied Oklahoma this week for 2nd on the list. Just need 4 more weeks at #1 to tie for 1st.
This weekend.
Iron Bowl
SEC Championship
Final Poll
It's doable this year.

And the AP poll is meaningless. Congrats though I guess

But but... I thought they were the only poll that counts? We only get to claim 11 of our NC if so..

I wonder how far back we were pre-Saban?

I'm referring to recently. And before the BCS the AP poll was not the only poll that meant anything, if it did most teams wouldn't have claimed national championships.

That should soften the blow of being ranked last in every socio-economic category for the last 100 years. Nice job.

Nah, before Saban, we weren't #1 in the polls too often. Most of our championships were either before the polls, or we weren't #1 going into the bowl game.

This seems like a stupid thing to brag about. Bama has plenty of more impressive things to discuss IMO.

Thread #239 about "LOOK AT ME.LOOK AT ME. LOOK AT ME. SEE HOW GREAT i AM". Take it to the bama board, that's why it was created, to handle mass circle jerks.

This was written last year. So 44 times until this year, plus 12 times this year.
That means Pre-Saban we would of only had 45 weeks at #1.
Saban has had 56 weeks at #1.
That's insane.

For starters, Alabama has now been ranked No. 1 in the AP Poll at some point in each of the last nine seasons dating back to 2008, Saban’s second season in Tuscaloosa.
Overall, the Tide has been atop the rankings a total of 44 times over that stretch, while no other school has been there more than 15 times.

gotcha
we're 12th on the #1's list and #11 on overall AP poll points list. About right for us. Passed Tennessee last year or the year before I think
