I despise saying this but, really, Auburn played one hell of a game. They haven't played a game this well, against any team, in a couple of seasons. Their defense dominated our Oline, stuffed the run, and didn't give Jake time to get comfortable in the pocket.

No doubt, we made a lot of dumb mistakes but I don't see how anyone could watch that game and come away thinking, "Jeez..we would've had that one if not for a few mistakes". That was a thorough arse whooping.

Recollect and let's beat Bama in a few weeks. Season isn't over yet.

God knows we've done it to them in the past. I just hate it had to be this year but their defense totally owned us.

Yep, our OL was suspect at the beginning of the season and they have played better then expected up to this point. But clearly they are still suspect. Our defense got tired because we could not move the ball. We held them to field goals time and time again but the offense simply did not do their part. It just goes to show that no matter how good your running backs are, if your OL is getting dominated then it's going to be a long game and it was.

Bottom line: Auburn got tired of hearing about how good Georgia is and how Auburn has been dominated by Auburn in recent years and they simply wanted this game more than we did in their house.

I agree, but our mistakes also came at the worst possible times. We got them off the field twice, only to give them the ball back immediately with the leaping penalty and the Hardman fumble. That sort of stuff kills any chance at a comeback and continued Auburn's momentum.

We're a better team than we showed last night, but we obviously have a ton of areas we need to get better. Both lines especially.
