I'd argue that Mett never lacked in the confidence or balls department. Sure he had to learn what throws he can or can't make and the little nuances of the game but he was always sure of himself and never looked scared.
Eason doesn't have the mental fortitude.

I'm trying to tell you guys. Eason could have the mental fortitude, but, his head is buried in pussy 24/7.

Well he's very short sighted which points back to the mental fortitude again.
If he would work to be better at football he'd get even more pussy than he does now.
Look at Romo, he's slayed some of the finest arse this planet has to offer.

He may not transfer at all. Always one play away from being the man again.

I really blame his recruitment for his mental state.
He came in December of 2015 when he was still "deciding" if he wanted to stick with UGA, and SAE threw a massive party just for him. Kid literally had pussy being thrown left and right with every guy trying to dap him up.
In one bar that night someone started a chant about him being our Savior.

Not saying I agree one way or the other, but how in the hell would you possibly know?

Eason's problem is processing information. He is a little slow. Only solution for him is going to a place where he can play and play immediately(experience and repetition matter). IMO he will either go Juco or to a smaller school before he goes back to a bigger program. I doubt he will transfer to a big time program next year.

He's one of those guys that has all the tools but can't put it together. He looks like Tarzan but plays like Jane.
You know he had better stats than Matt Stafford their freshman years, right?

lack of confidence.
I can see this. He was running for his life last year.

I honestly believe that him getting hurt was a blessing for UGA,
Very well could be.

no way would they have come back to beat ND with him under center.
Hard to say, actually. We beat ND with defense more than offense, but Fromm looked pretty darn good for a true freshman on the road at ND.

Eason reminds me of Christian Hackenburg. One of those guys that really isn’t that good, but his prototypical size and arm strength got him highly rated and will lead to an NFL team taking a risk becuase he has all the intanglibles. I think he’s going to transfer out and end up at Washington before long. Or a party school because we all know how much he likes the Athens bar scene.

Eason won't help LSU against Alabama. There is only 1 qb on the LSU roster that can give Alabama trouble and he is redshirt. There is only 1 type of quarterback that has beat Bama and that is a accurate passer than can move. Etling or Brennan isn't that.

Eason's performance is mediocre because he smokes Marlboro menthol's.

He had the mental fortitude for 3 comebacks last season.
He lacks accuracy (just like Mett).
He lacks footwork (just like Mett).
He lacks the ability to anticipate the open receiver (unlike Fromm ).
Again... people are judging him by what he did as an 18 year old.
He will be in the NFL and making crazy money not because he was a flyer but because he is talented.
Whoever takes him is just going to have to be patient (just like with Stafford who had a 55% pass completion percentage as a sophomore when we finished the season #2 in the country in 2007).

how is this different than 95% of the male college freshmen?

You are 100% correct. Eason can make a few really good plays but he just can't run an offense. Eason is just not a natural athlete. Fromm was born to play college QB.
