Miami runs the table they're in. Agreed.

My take:
1. UGa
2. Penn State
3. TCU
4. Alabama
There is a less than 0% chance that the committee would have 2 teams square off in the playoffs literally the very next game after they just played each other. Like negative percent.

I thought about that..I do think Bama would get in again but I put them at 4 for not winning the conference..They could flip with my #3..

Are you suggesting that UGA wins the SEC Championship?

That's actually a good question.
Is a one loss Bama who was beat by UGA better than TCU?

Is that your basic question?

Money. They don't have to share their money with anybody. Not TV money. Not Bowl money. Not Playoff money. Nothing.

Yes..The two big hairballs I have in this scenario is will Alabama still get in if both UGa and Bama are undefeated but Bama loses a close one in the SECCG.
The other Hairball is ND running the table and how that would impact the CFP

I was actually discussing something that would be actual chaos on Sunday a bit. This isn't chaos but it'd make a team like Notre Dame angry.
Basically to keep a long story short, if someone actually gets TCU soon (Iowa State with more magic against top 5 teams???), we're not far away at all from a huge mess in the college football playoffs.

Throw a little more chaos.....Miami wins out and Wisconsin wins out and beats Penn St in a Close CCG.

That would mean a ND loss to Miami...did you mean that?

I believe ND would get in the playoffs if they win out. The back half of their schedule is loaded with top 25 matchups with one of them being possible top 10 team when they play. As of right now, their will be at least one spot in the playoffs that will go to a one lost team. I could see ND jumping a undefeated conference champion if it is Wisconsin or maybe Washington for example. Three playoff spots will be from the SEC, Big 12, ACC, and maybe Big 10 (depending on who wins the conference). Forget about the PAC 12. Washington and Southern Cal losing games has hurt the conference's chances for a playoff bid. Now it is not impossible for Washington to sneak back in but they would need some very big wins and hope teams in front of them lose.
The only way I see two SEC teams getting in is if something weird happens in the last couple of weeks of the season and in the conference championship games. The chances of that are very unlikely but crazy things has happened in CFB.

1st - no way does a 1 loss ND get left out - will not happen
It would come down to a 1 loss Clemson or Miami vs an undefeated TCU
Either way, TCU is fricked
Defending champ Clemson or 1 loss Miami (assuming loss to ND) gets the nod over TCU
Heads explode and this becomes the reason that playoffs go to 6 or 8 teams
I could be wrong, ACC may get left out
Either way, the pressure to add teams to the playoffs gets overwhelming
But there is a Zero% chance the Irish get left out

If ND got in with an 11-1 record over 12-1 teams (or 12-0) that would get them completely off the hook from ever being required to join a conference in football.

There is no scenario that puts LSU in the playoff. If we win the SEC then no SEC team would likely make it...well, Bama may still get a bid if their only loss is to LSU. Losing to Troy sealed it for us.
But we aren't beating Bama so this is a moot point.

If ND wins out, they are in.

4. TCU Wins out.
My take:
1. UGa
2. Penn State
3. TCU
4. Alabama
5. Clemson
6. Notre Dame
Thoughts: Notre Dame will get punished by not paying that extra championship game and TCU gets rewarded.
I would like to say Clemson would jump Alabama as the ACC Champ but I have my doubts. Perhaps how bad Clemson beats FSU would be the common denominator…But I think Alabama gets the love.
If this plays out, ND would have to join a conference
ND would have a better argument than this forum would give them credit for.
Bama will have a loss to the one good team they played, and a bunch of wins over the 8-4 SEC West. ND will have gone 4-1 against the top 25, with the only loss against the #1 team. I think ND would get that #4 spot, surprisingly.
