TN had the worst running defense

If you take out the Tech game (because facing Option teams ruin stat comparisons), they were giving up an average of 144 rushing yards per game... at about 3.9 ypc. That's about middle of the SEC in YPG and slightly better than middle in YPC it would look like (took quick glance).

I don't disagree that the mentality was likely always going to be run a ton, but our coaches (I would hope) are smart enough not to use the Tech game as basis for why we should run more than pass. Likely, the bigger factor was road game, and turnovers could have kept it close... take the game out of Fromm's hands unless you need him to make a play and even then, it was relatively a conservative approach to his passing down work.

Have you listened to the Monday episode of the Glory UGA podcast yet, fib? They have a pro-con discussion for both QB’s and the discussion on this board is playing out pretty much exactly as they discussed regarding how the mistakes of each QB are viewed by the fanbase.

I gotcha...but also consider we were sitting on a 24 point lead at half so throwing it all over the field wouldn't be very smart....and his stats were for what? 3 Quarters?

I don't know if it was as much "take it from Fromm's hands" in a road game as it was "we're up by 3 scores...run...run...run....Fromm take a seat you're finished"
