He's the bible-thumping moron that thinks the ten commandments are our state laws. And an overall corrupt piece of shite. Of course, our voters love him because, "Hey, Jesus!".

Love his phone pranks on the radio

When he asks "how big a boy are ya?", I fall out laughing every time

The is the epitome of Christian Conservatism and everything that is wrong with it. He is a corrupt hypocritical moron who had never done anything for voters. He used his position in government in an attempt to apply his personal mythology to citizen. He was removed from office.

Yet the morons in this state still vote for him.

A narcissistic imbecile who thinks not following the law somehow qualifies him to go off to Washington to make it.

He was elected chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. He had a Ten Commandments display on the court grounds, and was removed from office for defying a federal court order to remove it.

Then, he was elected chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court AGAIN, and was removed from office AGAIN for defying the U.S. Supreme Court ruling allowing same sex marriage and ordering Alabama officials not to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples.

He claims that Sharia Law is already in effect in Illinois and Indiana, that the 9/11 attacks were a punishment from God for America's "godlessness", and that Barack Obama is a muslim.

He claims homosexuality is "the same thing" as bestiality and "an act of sexual misconduct punishable as a crime in Alabama, a crime against nature, an inherent evil, and an act so heinous that it defies one’s ability to describe it."

He said a muslim congressman should not be allowed to be sworn in on the Quran, and equated it to allowing someone to be sworn in on "Mein Kampf" or "The Communist Manifesto".

He won the GOP primary for Senate in Alabama over a candidate who was endorsed by Trump. Although he was apparently too crazy for Donald Trump to endorse him in the primary, he is a pretty typical person from Alabama as evidenced by his overwhelming support. He is a cinch to win the general election over the Democratic nominee, former U.S. Attorney Doug Jones, so much so that the DNC is unlikely even to try to help Jones.

In office, he will be solid vote for the most extreme right wing proposals, though it's unclear what he'll do on compromise bills that don't go far enough for him. He'll likely be very popular on the news talk show circuit, especially the left-leaning ones, who will no doubt try to portray his insanity as the true face of the GOP, although I don't think that'll be much of a stretch given current conditions.

Watch the movie "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington". Then imagine Bruce Dern as Mr. Smith with a huge Christ complex and a Rudolph Hess haircut.
