...but did any of you see that shite-show that was the ending to the Falcons/Lions game?

On one hand, I think Detroit got fricked with the refs not making the right call on the field and running 10 seconds off for the review, leaving Stafford and co. with no opportunity to try from the 1 inch line.

On the other hand, I understand why the rule is there. If they had dropped a 45 yard bomb under the same circumstances, there's no way they get set within the 8 seconds and if the rule wasn't there, they'd be able to set due to the erroneous call, therefore fricking over Atlanta in the process.

Thoughts?

Rule is probably not quite fair but the Lions would have had to sprint up and frantically run another play as they were out of timeouts and the defense would have sat on top of the receiver.

Probably should be a shorter runoff period, but all in all I was happy with another win.

Should have made the players go back to where they were when the play ended, then start the clock and see if they can run down there and get set

Time would have ran out anyway considering it would have been 4th down and they couldn't spike it. When it happened, that kinda went over my head, but no way they would have gotten set and ran another play.

that 10 second run off rule is stupid but it's the rule. I certainly don't think there was enough evidence to overturn the call. They are very loose with that rule, as is college.

I doubt they would have gotten another play off, but it would have been fun to see them scramble.

now that the team and the owner of the Falcons are taking a stand with SJWs, they are one of the best teams in football
