I saw people posting this in another thread and ignored, but since this thread is all about it I fell compelled to respond. There's an old saying about stats being like bikinis and what they show and what they conceal and blah blah. Bottom line is these stats mean absolutely less than nothing since this isn't remotely close to an apples to apples comparison.

-Eason played 2 real teams an 1 cupcake. Fromm played 2 cupcakes and 1 real team.
-Eason's first game ever was against one of the aforementioned real teams, Fromm's first game was against a team that has only recently been classified 1A.
-Eason played 1 game in Athens, Fromm has played 2 (both at night).
-Eason's TFr season was with a first year head coach, first year OC, first year entire coaching staff. Not the case with Fromm.
-Eason had an ~85% chubb, Sony being Sony, and a TFr Herrian. Fromm has the real deal Chubb to go along with Sony and Swift as a 3rd teamer.
-Eason had an OL that consisted of an out of position transfer from Rhode Island at tackle, our other tackle playing out of position when he should be a guard, and an undersized center. Fromm's OL isn't going to set records but already looks better than what Eason had through 3 games last year.
-Eason's receivers were absolute horse shite besides Mckenzie, his other 2 go-tos were Stanley and Chigbu. Fromm, despite some dropsies from Hardman, has far more to work with in the WR department through 3 games than EAson did.
-Eason had a defense behind him learning a brand new scheme with a ton of Freshmen on the DL and friggin Juwan Briscoe starting at CB. Fromm's defense is one of the best in the country
-Eason had a punter who was lucky to kick it 30 yards and a kickoff man that routinely gave the other team field position. Fromm's speical teams are night and day different and absolute game-changers in the field position department.

You can post the black and white stats and say "hmmm..Fromm is actually doing better than Eason was at the same point!" and technically be correct, but what each has accomplished to this point isn't even close. Fromm has had 2 gimmes that don't matter and 1 great road win where his defense won the day. Eason won us an SEC road game engineering a last minute drive and throwing the winning TD pass on 4th down. Also if you want to compare both stats against their "real" competition (UNC/Mizz for Eason, ND for Fromm) it looks like this:

Eason:
37/67 for 439 yards (55.2%), 4 TD/1 Int, 150 QBR

Fromm:
16/29 for 141 yards (55.2%), 1 TD/1 Int, 100.5 QBR

Take all of the above and add in the fact that Eason statistically improved quite a bit from the 2nd half of last year compared to the first, PLUS he has a full year experience against SEC competition, plus an entire EXTRA year of studying and practice....and it's absolutely a no-brainer that he is our starting QB as soon as he's healthy and it shouldn't even be a question. Eason is the guy until he royally fricks up enough to bench him. That aint happened yet.

But....what about the fan base that says Eason is from the Northeast and Fromm is a redneck like us so go with Fromm?

Eason is capable of throwing two kinds of passes. The first and most common being the skiddish in the pocket hot potatoe over throw or skiddish in the pocket super hot potatoe thrown off the bavk foot underthrow. He has had a few retard mistakes where he hit tue receiver in stride, for example, Riley Ridley V. Tennesse at the end of the game or the jump ball to a wide open iMac at Mizzou. I think Fromm is head and shoulders above Eason. The only thing he lacks is experience, which Eason has plenty of.

Spot on WG.Never seen a fan base in my life that completely trashes one of its one so quickly.

Good Lord,EASON had a grand total of 3 passes this year
bur has shown "no improvement" or has "no wOrk ethic"

Did any of you watch the AU game last year?Did you see the passes Eason completed? You really think for 1 second Fromm could've made those passes?Watch the pass he made to Godwin that was called back.

Regarding your breakdown post....

So glad you did this , because I really didn't want to type that much... but so right on the nose. I was going to add something about the #1 r ceiver bring 5-9, and the huge addition of J Wimms as well. Also, the fact that he had statistically the best TFr QB year in UGA history under all those circumstances is pretty good. But also the most important point is the steady improvement from sep-oct-nov is noticeable.

The true controversy in my eyes, is some people just what the Georgia boy to be the guy... period.
