What happens when the next guy doesn't come in and have immediate success? Rhetorical question. We all know what happens. Fans don't show up for games, demand we fire him, etc

I know 90% of our fan base has already declared him a failure, but even if it's him then someone has to be given an actual opportunity to build his program here.

Nobody wants to hear it, but firing everyone within two years is not the answer and will never be.

Unless he loses from here on out, he has another year.

We're probably going to have another losing season next year with BO, but you're right. It's hard to justify firing a coach after only two seasons. I know KU did it but they were going 0-12 and 1-11. It's bad, but not to that level at least.

He will likely get another year.

He can decide that his way isn't working and try another way or he can get fired. Pinkel decided his way wasn't working. Odom doesn't have the humility to do it.

Seems weird considering BO already abandoned his original plan for the defense because it clearly didn't work.

That was the argument for Anderson.
I was one of the ones making it.
Then we hired gonzo

Yeah. All the navel gazing over a quick fire goes out the window with a good hire.

It does, but stating the obvious here....Football isn't Basketball

That kind of turn around is just HIGHLY UNLIKELY.

My point is, Odom may very well not be the guy but it's probably prudent to actually find out. Projection and optics isn't enough

If Odom is retained, he needs to hire 4 coaches assuming none of the offensive staff leaves. Who's on your shortlist for DC, LB, Safeties, and CBs?

Ummm what up and coming position coach is hitching their wagon to BO? Unless BO has more brothers he can hire.

That's the point. I don't see Sterk giving Odom another year hoping he gets those hires right. He would be money ahead getting a new HC.

I don't like the odds for getting a good HC this offseason.
Texas A&M, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Arkansas will probably be getting new coaches this offseason. All can outbid Mizzou.

Pelini is pretty attractive honestly.

I don't see UT or aTm going after him.

Loved poking fun at BoBo when he was with the Bubbers.

But he'd bring the tough love this team desperately needs.

Damnit I forgot about Ole Piss needing a coach.

Morris to A&M
Lupoi to Ole Piss
Tennessee stays put
Arkansas grabs Shannon they have history
Mizzou goes with Pelini

Why would Lupoi get a HC job? Seems like Pruitt would be more likely. Pruitt has been DCs at FSU, UGA and now Alabama.

Lupoi for some reason turned down a few interviews last year. His little recruiting violation has been forgotten.

Hard to wrap my mind around a Bo Pelini hire. Guy is an embarrassment and nutcase.

Arkansas stays put.
They have an $11M buyout.
