Correct. But Leo's situation is a bit unique and gives you an idea about his character.
NFL GM's put a good bit of stock into their potential employee's character.(with the exception of the Browns)
He'll still play in the league(pending him reaching his potential) and get paid. But it's doubtful that he'll be a program changing linebacker and NFL management will pick someone else if they have equal talent.
Look at how far Tunsil fell in the draft. It costed him millions.
If he was a senior coming into the draft next spring, I could see it raising character concerns and dropping him some.
He isn't a senior, he's a RS sophomore so the only way he comes out in the 2018 draft is if he has a massive 2017. If that happens, character issues will be overlooked. If he stays until 2019 or 2020 and keeps his nose clean, then all this will be forgotten.

If the only thing that LL did was just take money from a booster, then I would agree with you. You're ignoring a long list of details, though.

Eric Dickerson
Not the same situation as Leo Lewis. See above.

I keep forgetting that posters on this site don't actually read what other people post.
I guess that's my bad.

Lewis: "Coach, the NCAA wants to talk to me about my recruitment. How should I handle the conversation?"
Mullen: "Just tell the truth."
Mullen: "Just tell the truth."

how do you figure? took money/gifts from one school, went to another, and the school he ended up at was hammered by the NCAA. Am I missing something except for the fact Lewis came clean and admitted to accepting money and Dickerson didn't?
Also, can you help me with something:

none of you seem to want to address these confidential transcripts that Ole Miss journalists seem to have and why/how they have them. I'd seriously love an honest answer to that or at least an attempt at an explanation.

Aside from all this, our compliance department runs a pretty annoyingly tight rig. With the whole Redmond incident they self reported all of it and self imposed way more punishment than he deserved. They reported the Cam shite, etc... 99% of the time it pisses us off because they could at least play it a little shady and probably keep a little dirt. I've bitched so many times about Brackey Brett (head of our compliance) bending over for the NCAA and self reporting everything under the sun.
This isn't one of those times, when the NCAA starts interviewing, just don't lie to them. Work with them, take your lumps when they come and keep them small.
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised at all if we paid LL and the NCAA brushed it under the rug in light of a completely honest testimony.
If you're an OM fan, and you believe all of these leaks/transcripts are accurate, you have to choose. Did Leo lie or did State pay him? You can't have the cake and eat it too. If he was lying, why in the actual hell would he admit to taking money from State?

This article really only benefits one party and that is Rebel Rags. I think
iRebel Rags' attorney should be able to question Sheridan and potentially
add him personally and the NCAA to his lawsuit, no ? MSU might get a slap
on the wrist as a face saving measure but I doubt it.

frick immunity. Leo Lewis should never be able to play college football again!

Yea, we are to believe that Leo went to Dan Mullen and asked him how to handle the interview and Dan's answer was "tell them that MSU paid you too!"....I mean according to the article that's what he did, so obviously Dan told him to tell the truth.

Ole Miss runs a prostitution ring then has the gall to try and get Mullen in trouble for lending Lewis 11k for his kids hospital bills.

Not sure how it would benefit RR. What the NCAA finds credible, or doesn't, has no bearing on what a judge does.
That being said, the RR case won't make it to a court room. I don't see how it's possible to prove that his testimony was directly responsible for monetary loss due to defamation. And even if it did make it to court, they certainly won't recoup what it's going to cost them to drag out 3 separate lawsuits. That's going to run a pretty steep tab for a small business owner.

It was actually the donation Leo needed to get his next level of Scientology audits. Mullen wanted him to level up his Theton levels in the offseason.

Jesus, Leo just torching his whole state to the ground huh...

If RR's attorney can show that Leo Lewis' testimony was inaccurate concerning RR and that the NCAA did not do due diligence in verifying those claims, then it opens up a can of worms. If I'm RR attorney I want the details of the immunity agreement, all texts and
phone calls made between the investigators, LL, and MSU . I also want to know what
due diligence was done in investigating the claims concerning RR. My guess is the
investigators didn't do any due diligence when it came to RR but wanted to add more
weight to what they already had. Overreach.

Lol. The NCAA isn't sweeping the fact that you guys paid $ under the rug because you we're honest. Lol you're fricked like OM.

Simply bothering to read the NCAA rebuttal to OM would keep you from making such bad guesses.
