“Right now we’re a little bit ahead of the game defensively,” Jones said. “First of all is just continuity on offense. We have zero continuity on offense. We have to step it up there and I trust that we will.”

Not legit.
Back to back life champions speaks to the continuity and excellence on both sides of the ball for the Vols.

So basically they have no offensive identity. Sounds about like every year.

Translation to English:
"We're probably not going to be very good and I don't want to be fired."

We shall see. UT practice reports from their Rivals site seem to confirm that. I mean they lost so much on offense. You cant honestly tell me their offense would be better this year.
Meanwhile GT returns 8 on offense :)

Definitely coach speak. From what I've seen on tape, the offense has a chance to be surprisingly good. Ton of young talent at WR and RB. Dormady is fantastic with ball placement. If he can perform under pressure, the offense will be good. It will be different though and that's likely what he's talking about.

Triple-reverse psychology. He is trying to dampen expectations. Dobbs and Kamara leaving, losing Barnette, dude, they honestly might not win 7 games.
