And that's really ridiculous. All I really want is my medical bills paid in full and to be fully compensated for the time I'll miss work. However, if they don't come with a reasonable settlement offer, I will try to ring the register on them.

A progressive customer totalled my car in 2015. They gave me more than what I would have taken, a few hundred more than what I could have replaced it for. It was a smooth process. No medical bills, no question on who was at fault. Just throwing that out there.
Actually there was question of fault, because the driver refused to respond to prog's attempts to contact and acknowledge... so they paid me and went after that bitch with malice.
