Mercy knee at the goal line with five minutes left directly resulted in them trying to buy a championship and subsequently destroying their program

Of all the teams I have seen LSU play, the only team I saw LSU execute a mercy knee on was Ole Miss. That is saying alot because I've seen LSU play multiple fcs schools.

Also 45-0 on 10/30/1976. LSU blew out a good Ole Miss team in Tiger Stadium (Ole Miss was 5-3 (3-1 in the SEC) at the time. LSU racked up 426 yards rushing, mostly by Charles Alexander and Robiskie.

I know the Tigers had a bye week advantage, but who would have believed the Rebels wouldn't show up for that game?
