They did but while their music was revolutionary and influential, it didn't carry the same people-gathering quality of the way ABB and Marshall Tucker Band and Outlaws and Elvin Bishop did in the 60s and 70s under the Capricorn label. Say what you will about jam bands nowadays but this is where it all started

I loved all that Capricorn stuff back then. ABB is well represented on my favorites playlist. "Mountain Jam" is a peak never equaled before or since.
Although they were not as successful, I also loved Scott Boyer and Tommy Talton's band "Cowboy." I've got both Clapton and Cowboy's version of "Please Be With Me" on my favorites list. I think Cowboy's version is the only recorded song featuring Duane on dobro.
