Hunter Newman should easily make this as a RP

Michael Curry should be in heavy consideration for Catcher or DH. Been as good or better at the plate than Koch, Daly, and Fortes

Price is leading the Sec (maybe even the country) in saves...

I don't care about saves.

He's pitched in 18 games, he's a closer. Missed a little time due to injury. How the hell does pitching in 18 games not qualify? His ERA is under 1

Same reason I'm not putting a guy with 50 at-bats all season on the all-conference team even if he was hitting .600

But 26 innings is totally more legitimate?

I wouldn't say a closer who has pitched in 18 games is the equivalent to a hitter with 50 ABs all season, dumb comparison.

Kramer should be atleast 2nd team SS and Biggers should be 1st team. No way Shepherd is 1st or 2nd team

Average:
Biggers - .327
Gridley - .325
Shepherd - .300
Kramer - .292

Runs:
Kramer - 58
Biggers - 38
Gridley - 36
Shepherd - 25

Hits:
Gridley - 63
Shepherd - 62
Kramer - 57
Biggers - 50

HRs:
Shepherd - 5
Kramer - 5
Gridley - 5
Biggers - 3

RBIs:
Gridley - 33
Shepherd - 27
Kramer - 26
Biggers - 22

Slugging:

Kramer - .466
Gridley - .464
Biggers - .458
Shepherd - .454

OB%:
Biggers - .422
Kramer - .411
Gridley - .397
Shepherd - .342

Fielding %:
Biggers - .977
Kramer - .967
Gridley - .967
Shepherd - .946

Defense is a legit point but here are their splits in CONFERENCE Play -

Biggers .324/.407/.419
Shepherd .320/.364/.476
Gridley .292/.382/.417
Robertson .255/.387/.408

Splitting hairs - and SS is one of the tougher positions to list esp given the importance of Defense at this position (and IDNGAS about fielding percentage)

I agree Robertson doesnt deserve to be anywhere on this list. His average has plummeted against SEC competition.

I knew that his production in conference play fell off but didn't realize it was that dramatic.

So you're not counting saves for a relief pitcher even though that's his job? Just because your team doesn't need a closer doesn't mean you should ignore it's importance.

Saves are too team-dependent; Alabama could have David Robertson on the team right now and he'd have maybe only 4 saves all year b/c he wouldn't have the opportunities.

And one-inning pitchers are much less valuable in college baseball, IMO - and that's what Spencer Price is.

Please explain what OF Mangum should be listed over? I'll hang up and listen.

I don't think you're far off

Maldonado and Mangum should be swapped, IMO.

I'm not for sure who Nick Fortes is. I thought for sure that Lovelady is the catcher for State
