Old should include Georgia Tech and Tulane.

Baseball had divisions in the old 10 team SEC. Switch Auburn and Vanderbilt and you have it the way they had it.

No. 4/2 split on big 6. Would be the same as now minus Arky and Sakerlina.

There's no real use in a 9 game conference schedule AND divisions if you only have 10 teams.

Before 1964:
North: Kentucky, Tennessee, Vandy, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn
South: LSU, Tulane, Alabama, Ole Miss, Miss. St., Florida

The new SEC is so much better. Thank god for Missouri.

Jesus, and you frickers hate Bama now. I hate to imagine what you'd think of them in that model.

The old SEC was divided into divisions for baseball for a long time. The alignment was the way it is now, except of course without the 1992 and 2012 expansion teams. I don't see any reason why it would have been done any differently if they had done it in other sports.
