I should be ashamed because I follow State heavily but what was the projected starting before all the injuries? Obviously Pinklington was the Friday guy. Plumlee was Saturday until he was moved to the pen for depth. Who was the 3rd?

the ball looked foul, pal. I will take your word that it was fair, but its not stupid to say the frigging ball looked foul from the angle I saw on sectv internet

Brant Blaylock in to pitch for State

After admitting you only viewed one TV camera angle ... you didn't say it "looked" foul; you said it was "probably" foul--when not a single player or coach from either team reacted as such.
Then, rather than giving credit where credit was due (the Texas A&M players), you said A&M was "the beneficiary of the collapse of the MSU pitching staff."
All of this because you disagreed with one poster who said the Ags looked scary good tonight. Don't be too surprised that someone took your post as a tad disingenuous.

what would you call giving up 4 walks and a grandslam in one inning, if not a collapse of the pitching staff? I will say that the A&M batters have a nice swagger as they trot to first base after a free pass.

You could have simply read this thread before spouting off.

The announcers on sat radio also said it was clear fair ball. These are ms state announcers FYI.

I aint mad, bro...but I aint scared either. my team cant hit its weight, but I promise you we wont give up 5 runs on 1 hit in an inning.

To be extra careful, let's pretend those 4 runs never happened, even though MSU announcers said it was fair, and the MSU first basemen thought it was fair. And let's totally ignore the run they walked in.
Ags win 4-2.
Ags win 4-2.

Nice first game for the Ags. Kept State out of the lead all game. It should still be a good series.

Yep, but our chances of winning the series went from around 45% to around 75%.

I stopped the video when the ball was in the way of the foul pole mesh, and could easily argue it either way.
clear to me the ball changes to a different shade of white when looking frame by frame. does that happen if its in front of the mesh?

Indeed. The top SEC teams can all look scary good when they have a good night, I've seen good teams do it to us, and I've seen us do it to good teams.
In the end the credit goes to the winning team. Arkansas had a complete meltdown late against LSU this year but it was the LSU players who capitalized on it and they deserve the credit for pulling it off. Just like Arkansas deserves credit for a couple of innings this year where the opponent's pitching got a bit iffy and we effectively ended the game in one inning.
State might have had an off game tonight but A&M made sure to hammer the nails into the coffin. That is what a good team does. A&M was a good team tonight and they earned a big win in SEC play.

Sorry black bear but the view from the stadium was fair, it just had the hell smashed out of it.
Aggies would have won anyway, so no reason to cry in your beer.
