Bama job is considered no better than Boise State or Indiana now. It's a move down from most programs to the Tide now.

I see you picked the wrong day to quit sniffing glue. Competition in the conference is one thing but to make a comment like that just shows ignorance on your part. You're better than that.

Glad you "fixed" it. It was a lot better around here immediately after we won the NC (you know we have won TWO of those in the past 4 years) and the one or two rational Bama fans were all that showed their faces. Now we have the whole host of Gumps coming over to defend your honor and heritage against the LIES being told on an LSU board. GO BACK TO BOL and drink the koolaid with them. I hear it's all POSITIVE TIDE over there so that should be to your liking.

I'm sure the Times Picayune is a great wipe too.

Do you think im going to read the new orleans paper for recruiting, no.
the advocate or scout.com.
i dont trust rivals.com after that "OL to C to make bama #1" story ive heard on some radio stations (Baton Rouge to Birmingham.)
i know you've heard about that story over in B-ham with finniescum

And you know this because you read the TNews daily and have such an informed opinion all the way from Laffy?

I've seen Bamers post links to "TNews" and Mobile Register about what they are saying about Bama/Auburn crap.
to answer you directly:
DO I READ THE TNews daily, NO.
compare to you living there.
Have i seen some linked articles from there on here, yes.
Especially since Nick was hired and Bamers all of sudden showed up on this site a year ago.
So I have some idea of the reporting but it seems majority of the publications in bama are dilusional reporting equally to Finnescum. Entertainment > Credibility.
Keep in mind, I have in-laws in Mobile and occasionally read that paper, it seems equivalent to TNews in my opinion. Small town with small town reporters/journalists.

I don't read the Mobile paper so I don't know what it says. And Finebaum is not news; it is entertainment. That would be like watching the Colbert Report and claiming that was your daily news. Finebaum is a great show once you learn to appreciate it for what it is. Paul is a frickin' genius for creating the show he's got.

But the TNews is pretty fair when it comes to its coverage of Alabama football. Cecil Hurt is critical at times, sometimes very critical. Now, you will never read something like, "Alabama sucks and will never win anything" which is what a lot of you guys want to see. Now I will admit the full section rehash of the 25th anniversary of Bear's death this past weekend was a bit much but I guess they figured that would be a big seller, and I'm sure it was.

I don't remember the guys name, but he is a sports reporter in Mobile. He was on a local radio show before the LSU/Bama game last year. He stated (get ready for Bama delusion) that he EXPECTED Bama to compete for multiple championships in the next 4 years. When asked SEC championships, he said 'No, national championships'. Geeez.

Well he's a dumbshit. No one should expect to contend for multiple NCs in the BCS/85 scholly era.

I agree with you on Finnie being about entertainment. Thats why i listen to him when i can. its funny/humorous how bama/auburn fans go back and forth. I dont take his info. word for word. I agree, its like colbert and john stewart.
Yet, I have seen more bama rantards posting articles from alabama sports publications. more so than LSU with Times Picayune or Advocate.
It's dilusional reporting for entertainment.
I dont read Lee Guillbeau. He's a clown to me.

Agreed, except LSU 2003,2007. I know what you are saying though. Expectations can kill, especially for an impatient fan base.

OK, Scoop, I took that a little far. Purdue maybe. And I'm not really much better than that. Ask anyone here.

Like I have stated before, we couldn't find anyone to take our DC job

LINK?

I was not aware we had offered the DC job to anyone. I'm sure being DC for the defending National Championship team after the prior landed a big D-1 HC job would make for an unattractive opening. Comparing the Alabama sitaution to the LSU situation is clearly comparing apples to oranges at this point in time.

If Tenuta was going to Michigan with Miles, then why didn't he come here instead? Debate...

I heard he was allergic to Tony's seasoning and it makes him go into anaphylactic shock if he even smells it. So, in my opinion La. would not be the place for him.

That is a good question. Who confirmed that Tenuta was going to Michigan with Miles? Who said that Miles was actually going to Michigan in the first place? There was speculation but who actually has proof? The only KNOWN in that situation is that Herbie reported it and then got egg all over his face. Do you have new info?

Other than the Tenuta RUMORS there have not been any offers. It truly sounds like Miles had the intention of making a promotion from within all along.

if you ask someone for an interview and they say they're not interested, you've been turned down...doesn't make any difference that you never made it to the offer stage.

Chris Hatcher from Georgia Southern who WAS offered the job just turned down Saban, according to unsubstantiated reports. That makes 4 rejections.

On an sadder note, Heath Ledger is dead. I just saw the headline. Found in his apartment.
