I visited the Citadel once my senior year of college, and was asking them about grad school. I think they saw my undergrad transcript and they were like "Uh, yeah, we're so happy you came by to visit, so..."
On that same trip, I tried to drive out to one of the coastal islands, and it was right after Hugo, and the cops stopped me. Said lots of looting in the area so I apologized said I'd turn back and leave and they let me go. They saw my six pack of beer in the seat and still let me go. Thanks Carolina!
As a small child, we ate seafood on a boat in Charleston and I woke up puking bad shrimp later that night in the hotel. I do not blame South Carolina for this.
I don't think I've ever been to a South Carolina strip joint
I'm kind of ashamed I've not visited SC more after having lived about 150 miles from there once
Been in Columbia once. Don't remember much. Why does my subconscious remember that it sort of looks like College Station? Ouch! Sorry Carolina
That's about it. Go Gamecocks!

Born and raised in SC.
Went to undergrad and law school at USC.
Still live in SC. I am proud to call the Palmetto State home.

Vacationed in Hilton Head and Charleston before. That's it.
I'd really like to go to an away football game in Columbia, but it won't happen for a long time since expansion ruined the schedule.

Born and raised in South Carolina.
Graduated from USC with a degree in Nursing.
Was a cheerleader for Carolina once upon a time.
Wouldn't live anywhere else after having spent a couple of years in Wilmington. NC is yankee carolina and I prefer home...in the true Carolina.

Spent some time at relaxin' Jackson. Earned my undergrad from USC and loved every minute of it. One of my favorite towns to visit.
Oddly enough I also love Spokane and it reminds me of Columbia but for the next week frick Gonzaga.

I have...in Columbia. The old Twin Peaks and Platinum Plus. And no, I wasn't a stripper. I had fun, though.

Well meow, how you doing?
I have cousins from Greenville. Been there a few times as a youngster and in college. Not overly impressed, but I heard that a lot has changed.
I went to Columbia a few years ago to watch the Gamecocks play Miss. State in football. I can't remember who won. Tailgated in the parking lot with Carolina fans. Williams-Brice was cool. Overall experience: meh.
I've been to Charleston twice. It's like a clean French Quarter/New Orleans. Great restaurants. Great sights. Friendly people. Can't wait to go back.
ETA: I love South Carolina state pride. It is only second to Texas in my book.

Fripp or Folly Beach every summer. One of the highlights of the year.

I moved to SC for residency after living my whole life in MS. It's not really much different.

I'd like to stay at a beach near Charleston on the next trip out there and experience both.

Born and raised here in SC. I serve in the SC National Guard and love the fact that our TAG building is right across the road from Williams-Brice. Charleston is my favorite city because of the history.

Folly is a skip away from Charleston. Not as expensive (or "nice") as IOP or Sullivans, and a little more hipster/grungy, but it's a good time. Can't beat a day on the beach and a night of dinner and drinks in Charleston. The Lowcountry is an amazing place.

Folly is probably closest to Charleston. For a change you could try Edisto Beach, Johns Island or Seabrook Island. You'd have to rent a beach house, though. No hotels.

Born in Greensboro and lived not too far from Chapel hill as a child.
Moved to Spartanburg at 8 but I spent lots of time traveling up north (cousins and relatives from NJ, NY, and NH) my dad's from up there.
Spartanburg is a 60/40 split of Clemson (majority) and Carolina fans.
It's definitely a place of its own, it's different than anywhere else. One thing, nobody can drive here. Haha.

Descended on both parent's side from English and Scottish immigrants, who settled in South Carolina in the 1700s.
Recently visited Cowpens battlefield, the site of a great Patriot victory, led by Brigadier General Daniel Morgan, over the British on January 17, 1781.
That same trip I drove over a loose block of concrete on a residential street just 3 blocks north of the Cracker Barrel in Greenville. Fortunately my car sustained only cosmetic damage

-My rich uncle retired to the town of Frogmore, SC on the lovely St. Helena Island.
-Their basketball team pooed on our basketball team this year.
-For the duration of 2017 if you'd like to know how long it's been since South Carolina beat Auburn in football all you have to do is ask elderly Rose from Titanic.
Rose, tell us how long it's been:
