Realistically, how good is Florida going to be?

I will be honest, I don't know what Florida returns next year. But I do know that they lost a lot of NFL talent on defense and I don't necessarily trust Cheese teeth to run a competent offense. So, what is Floridas ceiling and floor when it comes to W/L and who do they lose to?

Maybe Michigan, maybe Georgia, maybe FSU and Alabama in the SEC champ game.

Georgia is going to be the dominant team in the East moving forward as long as Kirby's there. Florida is going to be spinning their wheels with Tennessee.

It'll be interesting. Their defense minus that L they caught to the VOLS to the tune of 38 unanswered was their saving grace last year. Now that Muschamps defensive studs are out and Jim Bob's 3 stars are replacing them I think there will be a lot of people keeping their eyes peeled on what's happening down in Gainesville.

Y'all can refer to the Lorenzo Lingard megathread to see how the UF posters feel about the direction of their program, as well as their opinion of Mac and how he has handled thing's post Muschamp.

Just be prepared to wade through 25 pages of posts to get the info.

Just as a reminder: Mizzou has won the east something like 30% of the time they've been in the conference. Might be a good idea to include them, their last place finish was just an aberration.

If McElwain can't muster up an offense, we're screwed.

11-1 (ceiling) / 8-4 (Floor)

Toss ups vs. UGA, UM, FSU, LSU

Slight favorite vs UT and TAMU

Substantial favorites vs. everyone else.

6-6 to 8-4. We still have dead weight on staff in Nord and Nuss. The offense still doesn't have it figured out at OL and QB. I'm not impressed with RS and the defensive talent has taken a huge step back in talent and is young at DT, LB and CB. I expect the offense to struggle, the defense will too and Mac to fired in November. His recruiting is off to another slow start in year 3.

What will their goal line defense vs the toss dive look like?

Watch out for Vanderbilt sneaking in to win the East. They have Georgia and Alabama at home this year. That sets up nicely.

Florida is not going to scare anyone, that's for sure. They, like seemingly everyone in the league outside of Bama, are headed nowhere fast under this staff.

The league desperately needs an overhaul in the coaching department, McElwain is certainly no exception.

I think Florida will go 8-4.

They'll tell you that they should beat Michigan, and maybe they should idk, but Michigan opened as a 7.5-point favorite on 5dimes, and is a 3-point favorite according to a Saturday Down South article I read. I'd say it's decently likely that Florida loses two games OOC next year.

This is what people have said about UF the last 2 years. I am not sure if you guys are being trolls or UF haters. I guess it's like claiming Tennennesse will beat UF over the last 11 years , at some point you have to get lucky and be right. Coach Mac has won the east every year he has been at UF .
