Georgia's not getting any of those guys.
My choice is more realistic.

Hugh Freeze was a basketball coach and should be available soon

Georgia didn't upset anybody this year and got destroyed several times in games they were supposed to win.
Several generally means 5-7. That happened once. Unless you can think of 4 additional games I'm not thinking of.

All of a sudden, with 3/4 20 win seasons, we as fans are expecting to be some powerhouse
I don't agree with that at all. Nobody thinks we're supposed to be a "powerhouse", but we're damn sure capable of getting better results than we are. I think most of our fans with fairly reasonable expectations would like to see some combination of the following:
-Make the NCAAT once every 3/4 years. This is a box that Fox can technically check off since he has done that, but it's worth nothing that with teams that he himself recruited he has 1 appearance in the last 6 years.
-If we make the tourney, just win 1 game! Fox has not done that.
-If we can't make the tourney and settle for the NIT, at least make a run. Fox has never won more than 1 NIT game. In 2 of this 3 NIT losses we were the higher seeded team.
It is not a stretch at all to expect the above. We aren't still feeling the Harrick sanctions. We aren't still dealing with Felton's shortcomings. We have aboslutely nothing to blame our shortcomings on other than the current coach, period.
Nobody is expecting us to be elite.

Except me.
Given time. Get the right coach, win some games, get the mo going, the fans will come and the money will follow. UGA can be one of the best jobs in the nation. There are many stories about coaches that have turned around programs to be enormous successes that no one thought they could do.
It can be done.

No, several means 3-4. The official definitions is
"sev·er·al
'sev(?)r?l/
determiner & pronoun
determiner: several; pronoun: several
1.
more than two but not many"
Off the top of my head I remember Oakland, Alabama at home, and the last minute at Texas A&M.
There were more...I just can't remember and will not waste time looking up the entire schedule.

Agree with your assessment and those are reasonable if not low expectations especially considering the wealth of in-state talent. The situation is not unlike football but with tempered expectations since we do not have the same tradition in basketball compared to football. Find a coach that reels in the cream of the crop of talent in the state of Georgia and our competitiveness would be transformed.

Ok, that's fine.
You still haven't named a single game other than Alabama where we got blown out and were expected to win.

Not sure I'd consider any of those blowouts, and Clemson was favored over us.

They were classic mark fox out of conf performances at the very least.

I wouldn't have argued against that. I was just arguing the point that we didn't get destroyed several times in games we should have won.

Other than the Arkansas and Alabama games, no team "destroyed" UGA all year. In fact, UGA was 6 possessions away from having 23 wins in the regular season. If you wanna talk shite and gripe, at least provide some actual evidence... JFC these snowflakes...

In the Alabama game, we allowed A&M to beat us twice. Arkansas we were without Yante. If we beat A&M we likely beat Alabama and we are close really competitive on the road at Arkansas with Yante healthy.

It's not usually that simple, imo.

I think he is saying fox isn't a good enough coach to get his guys ready to play a mid week game after a tough loss.
Posted on 3/20/17 at 2:50 pm to djsdawg
South Carolina lost to them too.
Posted on 3/20/17 at 2:56 pm to Peter Buck
So they must have been a decent team, which means it would be stupid to assume uga would have beaten them had we won the prior game.
