Alexis Osorio had thrown 40 consecutive scoreless innings until today. I think,it was a school record. I know it's softball and it doesn't always get the respect it deserves, but that girl is fun to watch.

Abundance of pitching, shortage of consistent offense. This won't put us in the "elite" category.

Not at all. State held us hitless until the sixth inning

Bama run rules them on Friday and can't score a run on Saturday. If the offense ever gets consistant, Bama would be almost unbeatable.

I'm afraid that the "consistency" aspect involves whether we're facing a quality pitcher or just a thumper. If this is the case, we're going to have a bunch of similar days when we hit the meat of the SEC schedule.

They play again in about 30 minutes... hope Bama takes the series!

Bama defeat South Carolina Friday 7-3. The offense actually put some runs across.
Game today postponed, DH Sunday at 11.

We've never had consistent offense under Murph. Consistent pitching, yes, offense, no way. We live and die with Osorio, which means we won't get real far in the post-season unless the bats get hot.

It's not good.
We have been given an AMAZING schedule by the SEC softball rotation gods and we're dropping games where we have no business dropping.
I don't expect an undefeated SEC season, I'm ok with a loss here and there, that's baseball (er...softball), but when we have an excellent shot to win the SEC title and dropping games to teams at the bottom of the table like Mississippi State and South Carolina is going to kill us.

Embarrassing 14-0 loss to South Carolina.
I agree with Lordofwrath, should have swept both Miss St and South Carolina. Should have at least been 11-1 in SEC play going into the LSU series. Better sweep Missouri next week.
Bama likely should have won the regular season title this year with a gift of a schedule, might still, but unlikely with what they have shown so far.
This is one of the weakest teams Bama has had in years.

Auburn softball associate HC Corey Myers (HC Clint Myers son) resigned today. Kinda strange cause I had heard he would be named HC when his dad retired. Possibly as soon as next season.

Probably slept with a player.

Either that or broke some NCAA rules. They let him resign and will hope the whole thing goes away quietly. Of course, it leaves them in a bit of a spot since daddy was rumored to be retiring soon, possibly as early as after this season. Now their coach in waiting is gone.
