That "lack of institutional control" thing is like a NCAA nepalm bomb for a program. If proven, Ole Miss might not be playing football for awhile
USC and Miami both got LOIC. That's not the death penalty. It's going to send Ole Miss to the SECW cellar for the next decade, but it's not going to destroy their program like SMU.

OM could get the repeat offender tag, though, for their previous LOIC.
Edit: it won't destroy their program but a multiple year bowl ban, loss of 5-10 schollies for multiple years, and nuked coaching staff could set it back a long way.

They've already got a 1 year postseason ban, if the NCAA tacks on another that is going to do SERIOUS damage to that program. I mean if you're a pretty good recruit why would you go to a school that can't even play in a bowl til you're an upperclassman?

I would guess OM is looking at a 2 yr bowl ban, 18-20 scholarships over 3 yrs, and a show cause for Freeze and maybe an assistant or two

And wouldn't a 2 year bowl ban give players the option to transfer and play? That could be pretty damaging too.
