Sucks badly but not surprising

Someone posted on a UT board that Gus visited him yesterday and the mother has now quit her job. Meaning she got paid and he going to AU now. Love this time of year.

Who knows because now a UGA poster over there and chimed in as well that is rumor regarding Walker and his mother. The hell will cable and netflix. Let recruits commit and sign all year. Way better entertainment.

Saban is nicer than me. In these situations where recruits string us along for months and then flip on NSD...I'd leak to the media that we pulled his scholly offer because he likes having relations with domestic animals or something. Cut throat world, you play with fire, you get burned kiddo.

Then you would destroy our program because of pettiness, when all of that blows back on you and you get exposed.

That's why he is not a coach.

Well at least he gave us a few days to scramble if true. I just knew Saban would press the issue if he got face to face with him. Hope it is false but good luck to him

We got two more CBs for Eddie Smith and one for Justyn Ross.

Looks like Moody will be the ILB in this class.

I don’t know why he didn’t / doesn’t decommit if true ?
Posted on 2/1/18 at 1:04 pm to Bear88
Probably being told to do it on NSD.

Kid is likely too scared to tell Saban he had a change of heart. Saban likely had to press him hard to get an answer and if it's true, I doubt the kid looked him in the eye.

One step forward and two steps backwards. You were doing so well.

National Signing Day 2018: Every Top-10 Team's Most Important Recruit
quote:
In a perfect world, incoming recruiting classes would be made up entirely of prospects who will use their first year or two adjusting and developing before producing and excelling in later seasons. In reality, college football teams need many of these newcomers to make an impact right away.
Even the best teams in the country need to rely on first-year players to step in and make meaningful contributions, either to fill holes left by departing stars or to become part of a rotation at a heavily used position. Each year, it seems like more and more freshmen are being thrown into the fire.
Using the final Associated Press Top 25 from the 2017 season as a guide, we've picked out one recruit from each of the top 10 teams who is most important to those teams' continued success. This isn't necessarily the top-rated signee, but rather the one who you're most likely to be hearing about when the 2018 season begins in late August.

No. 1 Alabama: CB Saivion Smith
Height/weight: 6'1”, 175 lbs.
Recruiting ranking: 2nd (JUCO)
Alabama must replace its entire starting secondary, a group that helped the Crimson Tide intercept 19 passes and break up another 66. Opponents completed just 53.8 percent of their throws against Alabama in 2017. There are some strong returners, like Trevon Diggs and Jared Mayden, but experienced depth will be an issue.
Enter Saivion Smith, the top-ranked junior college recruit for 2018. He played a year at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College after starting his career at LSU, where he played in 2016 before transferring. He was a top-50 prospect in the 2016 class.
"I think any time you get a guy that's played in major college football games before, [he] probably knows a little more about what it takes, probably has a little more maturity,” Alabama coach Nick Saban said, per 247Sports' Charlie Potter.
Smith, who got to work out with Alabama during playoff preparations, could end up starting or find himself in a nickel corner role.
