One of your guys had Devonta Smith to LSU until about 5 minutes before his announcement.

Henry Ruggs III gave an interview in which he said he talked with coach Saban on Sunday and felt Bama was the place so he told Saban "you guys are in the lead", then he talked with Jimbo on Monday and said "looking good for you guys". He said it was so tough and whichever one he talked to felt like the leader. That's why FSU had so much confidence in Ruggs late.

Bottom line, between Monday and Wednesday it became time to make a final decision and the kid made one for Bama...Who is to say Bryant wasn't battling the same emotional uncertainty before ultimately deciding for AU?

You had to hire his coach or would have signed elsewhere...which O obviously wasn't desperate enough to do. I give it to you, its not illegal...yet! This guy could be screwed when the guy can't actually get the job

He was. Bryant has even come out and said he was.

he crystal balls came pouring in Tuesday night

So people that make predictions made their final predictions the night before. you have to be shitting me

Recruiting experts around the south had every.single.one of the crystal balls going to LSU/GA. Not one expert picked AU and these are the guys who have their ears to the ground
People made guesses, simple as that. You need to get a grasp on reality vs expected reality

Go on living in your dream world
you are the one who thinks a guess is a concrete fact

quote:

you had to hire his coach
We did? this rumor has even been claimed as intrue by the coach, so lets stop with your facts again until its true

quote:

to get him and I think its fn hilarious

I think its hilarious that you have this much invested in an 17/18 year old who didnt chose LSU

quote:

I'm not saying AU wasn't in it.

to use your words. Horse shite

quote:

but you guys were a distant third.

As of Monday(remember the quote I gave you) AU was a leader

This doesn't answer my question. Even if we hire his coach, which hasn't happened yet and the coach has denied it, what we potentially did is completely legal and LSU could have done the same thing.

So, I ask again, what did we do that was unfair?

Not according to one of your brethren,

Kerry Stevenson, Jody Wright, and Willie Carl Martin all started out like this. As did Jeremy Pruitt. Sam Petitto is in player personnel with ties in Louisiana.

There's probably a few lesser known ones in strength and conditioning and player development positions.
