Size! Love the size we are getting, one thing I noticed among NCAAT teams advancing was just pure size across the board.
Don't know squat about this kid though, but it seems as if this was our #1 target and a lot of people want him.
6'10" Gafford
6'10" Cooper
6'8" Osabuohien
6'7" Bailey
6'5" Garland & Jones
We can put out some really athletic and big pairings.

Him or Stewart would be very good at this point imo

Hopefully, Garland does get cleared

Courtese Cooper also told me that LSU (the Tigers offered on Friday), Arkansas, Cincinnati, and New Mexico State are at the top of his recruiting list right now, "but more schools have been coming in recently and I haven't set up any visits yet."
Asked if he plans to take an OV to Arkansas, Courtese Cooper said: " Yeah, for sure." Cooper was freshman qualifier in '17-18 at Triton College, meaning he still has 3 yrs of playing eligibility. He avg 10 pts (55.7% FGs incl 38.9% from 3, & 71.4% FTs), 6.7 rbs, 2.9 blk at Triton
Regarding his game, Courtese Cooper told me: "I have always been a shot-blocker, but over time I added the 3, the post, and the drive to my game."
6'10" and shot almost 40% from 3? Jesus. Sign me the frick up. 7 boards and 3 blocks a game too. Yes please. Makes sense why he is getting big offers/interest.

We need a veteran with some experience but moreso another available scholarship for next year (2019 recruit) not someone who we would be making a multiple year commitment to and not see the floor much for a least a season until Daniel leaves.
Multiple year commitments to transfers on scholarship that have to sit out for a transfer season or JUCOs not expected to play much at least for a season leave our roster and depth shorthanded.

Jones may not play much, but Cooper would play quite a bit.

Sweet. Another Arlando Cook.
I don't know about you guys but I'm fired up for some more mid level JUCOs.

At least Cooper can shoot it and somewhat plays defense. He does have a 7'5" wingspan. I'm not saying they're world-beaters, but they can't be any worse than frickin' Thomas, Cook, and CJ.

You alright? I know this is your shtick but those guys are nothing like Cook even if they end up sucking. Just a lazy comparison.

The only thing that's similar between them is that they went to the same school. Arlando Cook was a MUCH higher rated prospect than Mason Jones. Mason Jones isn't even in the top 100 JUCO players for 2018, Arlando was #5 for 2016 in JUCO with offers from Arizona State, Memphis,LSU, Nevada, etc. As far as I can see Mason Jones has no offers besides us, and is not considered an elite JUCO prospect. He literally visited on Friday and committed the next day. We are by far and away his best option. His stats aren't bad, but this a real head scratcher to me. Mike or another coach must know the kid personally.

From a realistic impact stance, I disagree.
Just signing more scrubs due to bad player/roster management.
We're mediocre and I'll continue to bitch until we aren't.

In one of the articles it said Jones had offers from BYU and Washington. He didn't start playing basketball until senior year in HS.
Cooper is the bigger get if we can land him, keep him away from LSU. I'd rather him choose us or Cincy.

But the difference is that we won't need as much from Mason as we did from Cook.

I don't think calling 9 transfers in 7 years a roster management shite show is over the top.
It's comedy at this point.

It’s actually 10 in 7 but I’d say who we’ve signed in the late signing period throughout is worse than the transfers.

Notice I left that alone
I'm talking about the we aren't going to win anymore SEC games in the middle of the season stuff.

The LSU effort was a joke. Losing to them 2x was inexcusable and literally was a direct factor in getting knocked out of the first round.
I was probably deep into some Daddy Soda's at that point but all of the people acting like it wasn't a big deal were full of it.

It always looks like 2-3 more guys that will be gone or not contribute within a couple of seasons.
Completely tired of this song and dance.
Hopefully only another 2 years. Or is he here until 2022 locked in? Can't even keep up with the extensions.

I do agree getting destroyed at home was inexcusable.

We weren't in a good spot at that moment for sure, but fans overreact way too often. Just like when we started the season some people were talking about final 4 dark horse. I'm guilty of this at times as well.
A good saying I always try to live by "Things Are Never As Good, Nor As Bad As They Seem"
