It's called Queen cake in Texas and/or Oklahoma.

I've had both, to me that is also a king cake.

Really? I find the sprinkles to be offensive myself.

This King Cake might be more 'yell leader' style

Nah, drinking too much is more a Louisiana thing.

Aggies like to put their shite in mason jars. Here is our king cake:

This reminds me of how at the beginning of every season A&M tries to make it look like they're a real SEC team, but then they inevitably get exposed as a bunch of soft Big 12 pussies

Sad that I even know what a king cake is, I shouldn't. But you animals have infiltrated our great state with your parasitic pseudo French culture. Disgusts me.

Their "king cakes" you buy at the store

I remember once, my ex told me, they were selling "King cakes" at Martin's in Richmond. I never got a picture to see how bad it was.

A traditional king cake would be more sprinkled sugar and not icing honestly. I happen to like icing style better such as Randazzos, but sprinkled sugar would be considered traditional.

traditional

Randazzos icing style

Wow, I learned something today. I thought the icing was the only legit way to do it. The second one is all I had growing up.

Well that makes sense. If you think about it the "traditional" Mardi Gras is some celebration in Alabama.

Louisiana folk creating a better derivative is what they do best.

Yup. There's a long shared history between Texas and Mexico and it's engrained in the state, especially in places like San Antonio. Texians or Texicans were folks who lived in Texas when it was part of Mexico.

The "culture" that has come from the east, which include collecting welfare, committing violent crimes, and eating sweets that contain small plastic nude toddlers in them is not what we stand for

I like Randazzo's but the best non traditional king cake I've had is from Dominica's. It's incredible.
