I was at that game. That is one of the worst arse whoopins I've witnessed in person. It wasn't nearly as close as the score indicated. That was the beginning of the USC dynasty of the mid 2000's.

Auburn left tackle was unhealthy that year and that was esminger disaster at oc. Auburn boosters tried to get tub fired after that season for Bobby Petrino but folks rallied around tub. Auburn goes undefeated next year and gets robbed of a chance at nc.

USC's defense made Auburn look like they were running in mud. Their team speed was unreal and their DL whipped Auburn's OL all day
