Are you happy because you sing, or do you sing because you are happy?
John L, or 10 years of Hootie, or choosing Heath over Bill Self, or choosing BB over Gundy sure as hell doesn't look like "trying" to me.
it looks inept.
Jeez, Baylor is now a men's BKB power, and was a new FB power until a surprise disaster.
Baylor has higher expectations than Arkansas.
I guess that is the SEC's fault too.

Do you have a real source saying that we turned down Gundy over Bielema in 2012?
Also, to avoid any revisionist history, the stat lines between Gundy and Bielema in 2012 was this:
BB: .739 winning percentage, 3 conference championships, 3 BCS bowls, 4 10+ win seasons
MG: .657 winning percentage, 1 conference championship, 1 BCS bowl, 2 10+ win seasons
Bielema led teams that had a far more impressive 7 year resume than Gundy did. And that's just wins/losses/champioships type stuff. Wisconsin also put more players in the NFL and won a whole lot of awards and All-Americans.
Bielema has not worked out here. But you can't say, "Hiring someone who had 3 championships, was always a BCS contender, and had a .739 winning % is proof positive we weren't committed to winning because we should have hired the guy with worse stats from a worse/equal conference. That would have proven we were committed to winning."

Baylor is a university that values winning over everything including the lives of players.
Dave Bliss?
Art Briles?
frick everything about that university and their Christian values.
