Leonard Fournette fails to become 4th SEC player in elite rushing club.

Leonard Fournette will fall short of 1,000 yards this season. He fails to become the 4th SEC Running Back with 1,000 yard seasons in their freshman, sophomore and junior seasons.
only 3 running backs in the storied history of the SEC have achieved this mark:
Herschel Walker
Darren McFadden
Alex Collins

To be fair to LSU..
There are 4 running backs in the history of the SEC that were elite enough to put up 3 1,000 yard seasons. One played 4 years and did it his sophomore, junior and senior years. That player was Kevin Faulk.
Honorable mention to Emmitt Smith who was 12 yards short his sophomore season.
Don't be too hard on Leonard Fournette though..

It is sad that LSU ran him into the ground and he will have nothing to show for it.
