This kid wants to be coached by Aranda. This thing is over.
then why silently commit to georgia when Aranda was at LSU the whole time?

Honestly think he is the best LB this class.

Not really news. Of course UGA continues to recruit him.

Just in case.

I would love to flip him but I think he will stay with LSU, he's certainly the most underrated LB in this class. Nate McBride looks like he will commit any day now so UGA looks pretty good at ILB, would love to land Leonard Warner also but it looks like numbers are getting tight.

Same reason Allen silently committed to LSU. LSU just didn't know he called Bama and told them the same thing.

If he was also silently committed to LSU I would say you have a point, but you dont

Congrats to UGA. This kid looks way underrated. I really thought he would stick with LSU.

He hasn't officially flipped has he? Where else than the Bama site insinuating a flip from an in state lb are we basing this off?

some LSU writer dude tweeted for LSU fans to get ready for some news and to pour a bourbon (could be good or bad I suppose) and that it's related to a player from alabama.
I think we've known for a while Rice's flip was pretty out of the blue and if we had a chance to flip anyone in this '17 class it'd probably be him. Nothing is done yet apparently, but wouldn't shock me in the slightest to see it happen.

I think his original commitment to LSU was an emotional one after that Sunday when the coaches tried to go in home. It's not surprising him having second thoughts. I'm really hoping he sticks considering we need the depth pretty bad.

yeah, I posted something similar a few minutes ago on our board. This would feel less like a "flip" and more like him doing what he had originally planned all along.

I agree. What's interesting tho is apparently the other recruits are pushing him the hardest. I wonder if the staff is pressing hard as well tho.
I know it doesn't help LSU that he doesn't know many of our recruits

There are a handful of our recruits who honestly deserve as much credit as Kirby does for putting this class together. I don't think I've ever seen a group of recruits as close as these guys are.

Monty is probably the most underrated LB in this class. Georgia coming in late is surprising but nobody should underestimate that staffs ability to get talented players. LSU desperately needs Rice after Saban stole Allen and Moses out of Baton Rouge.

no room for Carter to enroll early, but apparently plenty for a LB.

We don't have any more running back spots after Chubb and Michel decided to come back. We definitely have more EE spots as we're trying to take Gibbs and Rice (as we have been the whole time). Only thing that changed with Carter was Chubb and Michel's decision.

UGA isn't coming in late. We were his leader right up until he committed to LSU.

This, he was silently committed to us for months. Him committing to LSU was what was completely out of left field. Flipping to UGA makes a lot of sense given the history
