Solid list, I love the Marshall Tucker band as you do. However, going off of your list - Green Grass and High Tides from Bring it back alive (1976) is a 20 minute 3 guitar assault on your senses and gets my vote.
I don't have the disc in front of me but it was released in 1978 I think. It is dedicated to Skynynd, so it was after the crash in 77 I believe.

Country Girl Shake It For Me
Just kiddin'
Freebird is the undisputed heavyweight champion. .
My personal favorites are Can't You See & Train Train.
Edit: Let me throw in Keep On Smiling, also. (I think it qualifies as southern rock.Does for me.)
