Kam Pettway update from his dad

according to his dad in a article on 247 Pettway will likely return for his junior season at Auburn. His dad also went on to say he son feels about 90 % heading into the IB

I hope both are accurate. I doubt he'll be that close to 100% based on his injury though.

Some have hinted that he might consider it. I wouldn't be shocked if he finished season with 2 big games then left. But sounds like more than likely staying which is huge for us. Would love to see what numbers he could put up as starter for full season

KP is married with a daughter and by all accounts his main focus is providing for them (which is highly admirable) so it's not that crazy to think he could go and get paid some money while he's got tread on his tires. Kinda like Darvin Adams a few years ago but KPs upside in NFL is much higher - he's just the type of runner that is going to take a pounding so his years up there are fairly limited.

Not sure why this is even a discussion. He's a true soph and you have to wait 3 years after high school before entering the NFL draft(i.e. after a players Jr or RSoph season), so unless he decides to take a year off, I'm not sure where this idea that he'd leave after this year is coming from.
