The real offensive mind was KK

I am pretty sure the secret to Sumlin and Kingsbury had something to do with JFF.

KK had some really fun beginning-of-game-scripted-plays - but wow have people forgotten how things always went stagnant after that until Johnny eventually started taking things over with the playground.

You hit it on the nose. Hubes just doesn't have it. Hope he finds it before Thanksgiving. Regardless of how much you hate the coaching staff. A&M had the final possession in both the MSU and Ole Miss games and both ended with a Hubes interception.

Johnny was playing with a severely jacked up thumb for the back half of 2013. That's why the offense bogged down with him.

Kenny Hill has completely collapsed running the Meachem's offense at TCU. I feel safe saying the kid just doesn't have it.

Kyle Allen was banged up and Kyler was CLEARLY not ready to play (and probably never will be w/his attitude) big boy football.

Even w/more experience Hubenak wasn't good enough to beat either of them out last year and has shown why it was essential A&M land Knight to be the starter with his play the last two weeks.

Basically injuries have been the main reason for the offense coming apart in 3 of the last 4 seasons.

You may want to call that excuse making or whatever but that doesn't change that Johnny, Allen, and Knight getting hurt are why the offense has sputtered in the back half of those years.

I don't even think it's valid to complain about QB transfers simply b/c that is the nature of the game these days. Most highly touted recruits are not willing to wait their turn to play and do not want to deal with a QB battle they might lose. Just last year there were 30 QB transfers.

This doesn't even get into other things like offensive line injuries that drastically change what you are able to do. As much as people love to use the cliche of "next man up" the reality is there is a reason those guys aren't starting.

Also, the complaint of "Well other teams have used backups that played well" completely ignores that the vast majority of those guys might have one or two good games and then once there is tape on them they turn into pumpkins. Remember when Murray had a better statistical debut that Cam Newton? Then remember how easy he was to defend when teams realized he can't throw and is scared to take a hit?
