I don't usually complain about play calls because I don't know what they are trying to do later but last night in the first half Hurts was getting killed how about handing the ball off to a RB

Play calling was atrocious, last night. You can say things like "we are playing vanilla" and other excuses like that but when you are midway into the 3rd quarter and your RBs have only touched the ball 6 times and your QB has touched it 15 times against UT Chattanooga. There is a MAJOR issue.

Here's the truth in CFB; you can win with a running QB who doesn't pass IF all the tools are around him and a fantastic defense. It's as simple as that. Look at JT Barrett at Ohio State, Jalen and JT have a lot in common in terms of throwing the ball downfield. JT hasn't gotten better passing @ OSU. Michigan St gave all OSU wanted yesterday and JT made plays with his legs and was off the mark passing all day long.

If you play against Bama's Offense. You sell out on the QB run and defend the edges. When Jalen gets uncomfortable he resorts to running where he is good for a fumble. Force Jalen to throw downfield.

Look at all of Bama's first year starters at QB:

McElroy (Won BCSCG)
McCarron (Won BCSCG)
Sims (Lost in First Round of Playoffs)
Coker (Won Playoff Champ)
Hurts (TBD)

The reason we won those games is due to a balanced offense in which our QBs didn't turn the ball over. Sims had all the stats but that year he turned it over and we had so many false starts and miscommunication.

Na, it was a glorified scrimmage. Kiffin was trying different things to put Jalen in different situations. Chalk it up as an uninspired, bad practice. Also, UTC is a good team, I don't care if you can't get over the fact that they are an fcs team. They played more physical on defense than pretty much anyone we played this year. That was easy to see if you watched the game last night.

People, our offense is what it is. Nothing is going to change over night. This is what we have going into the rest of the season. It's worked splendidly so far for us this year.

Jalen can and does pass.

Most of his fumbles have been in the pocket.
