He's here today. He arrived this morning and will be leaving this afternoon. It's an unofficial visit so no hookers and blow. He's just here to chat with the coaches and get a better idea of our plan to utilize him.

We have a few things going against us here.

His gf goes to Baylor. Baylor is a lot closer to TAMU
Our offense is terrible
He's aware Lashlee may leave.

Our only hope is for TAMU to back off IMHO.

Great. So we aren't getting him.

Guys in college really aren't that loyal to their girlfriends, especially athletes. This is a nonissue.

/positiger, our offense isn't nearly as bad as Auburn message boarders make it out to be (thank God) and it's clear that the only missing piece is a QB that doesn't suck.

Sumlin is more on the hotseat than Gus, and Auburn is a better team overall, so hopefully he sees that. Briles already sent one guy our way, no reason to think he couldn't send another

It is when we don't have a capable QB. When we do, we steamroll people. If we had this years defense on either the 2010 or 2013 teams, we would have been just about unbeatable.

Even when Sean White started getting comfortable before he got hurt, our offense started humming, and he's not a running QB. Put a running QB in there who can throw the ball(and he doesn't have be an amazing passer) and this offense always has the opportunity to take off. But when we throw someone like Jeremy Johnson, who is absolutely no threat to throw the ball past about 5-10 yards, the offense implodes.

Look at what Alabama has been able to do with Sims and Hurts. They were pretty good offenses with their game manager QB's, and they had running games that would just grind you down, but with a QB that can run too and implementing pieces of the spread, they've become a dynamic offense that Saban had never had before.

We are a good QB away from another NC and Tamu is not even close. Auburn's defense is better, a good crop of young WR to throw to and Pettway will be back to hand the ball to next year. So which team has the higher ceiling next year? Seems like an easy choice for me plus Sumlin's seat is getting hotter.
