Probably going to regret this post in the morning, but frick it, here goes.

I want all my teams to win titles, like any true fan. I just want the Ags to win one ONCE, so I can experience/celebrate it with/for my dad. He's the reason I'm an Ag. The reason I went through the Corps. He's he first person I call or text after Aggie games win or lose. So many reasons, but he's just a good Ag and a good dude, and I try (and fail) to live up to his example.

Think it's probably seeing the Cubs finally win a World Series and how much that meant to families up there that finally drove home through my selfish heart what all this obsession with stupid games is all about at the end of the day. Much as I want TAMU to win just once by hook or by mf'n crook, truthfully want it moreso to share it with my hero. Much as I love my Spurs, I'd happily trade all five Larry O'Brien Trophies for one Aggie football championship.

Maybe it'll happen,or maybe I'll be standing by his grave listening to whomever replaces Dave South as the voice of the Aggies when it happens, or maybe it'll never happen. Regardless, here's hoping this is the last season where we cavalierly let a golden opportunity slip through our grasp.

Damn, my post-workout orange juice put me in a reflective mood tonight for some reason

T,

We will always be pretty good with Sumlin, but he isn't ever going to win one of those things. I'm not melting and I'm not even sure firing him would be the best move at the moment, I'm just saying it will never happen with him.

Amen. you could have written that for me.

I would gladly Put up with a lifetime of incoherent play by from Dave South to see Ags just play for the NC one time.

Yeah I'm not sure we have any other viable options but to hold pat. Either he'll show us something he hasn't yet (unlikely), or something better comes along.

Whichever comes first, we'd better seize the damn opportunity.

I think it applies to this as well. ....

for once id just like to be able to compare the euphoria of winning a professional championship to an aggies championship. At least you have recently been able to experience one of them. Im a rockets fan and 1995 was so long ago, i was emulating gary payton on the schoolyard playground.

I know what you mean. The last Cowboys super bowl I barely remember.

All the Spurs' titles have been special, but the last one meant a HELL of a lot.

I'm 28 and a Houston/A&M fan. I barely remember the Rockets titles, and aside from that no team I root for has ever won a championship. I seriously wonder if I'll ever get to see one where I can comprehend what it means (i.e. Not when I'm 6 years old)

The only one we will ever get brother, we better enjoy it. My dad is a season ticket holder and it's painful to watch them year after year

That was a few years ago for me. Now I only invest in low-cost index funds and Tesla stock.
