While It would be wonderful to see vast improvement this year, the outlook isn't rosy.

Just heard a couple guys (pretty savvy about Mizzou hoops, one's a big donor) speculating that, should Mizzou lose a couple of the "gimmes" in the first 6 games, Sterk will whack him.

I argued that it wouldn't solve anything by doing so until the end of the season. It's not like we have a dynamite assistant ready to jump in there. They contend it's best to pull the plug and start the search ASAP.

What think you? Early as my buds say...or end of season like I say?

Early doesn't really do anything other than look incompetent like LSU did with Miles.

Exactly. I said it before and I'll say it again. Kim Anderson should have been fired last year. Back to back last place finishes in a mediocre basketball conference like the SEC is completely unacceptable.

You don't really need to fire a coach to start the search. Just like last year Rhodes contacted several agents to gage interest.

I think an awful football season may have sealed Kim's fate. I think if we were even bowl bound in football, he might have been given another year with poor results. But the momentum to move past this dark chapter in revenue sports will be too great unless he's over .500.

firing someone mid season is a desperation move that leads to desperation hirings

Sterk doesn't strike me as a desperate guy

ESPN app is showing the first game is on SEC Network. But, it always isn't reliable.

It's showing up on Charter as on SEC network.
