So we have heard on here that most do not like the mic guy.
And I cheers leave us feeling unfulfilled. So here is another semi-offseason question to pass the day till the end of the world comes tomorrow. I just know this before we all die.
Which of the basic tunes that the Auburn band plays do you like the best? I have left links for you to hear them if you dont how them by name. I have to admit I was a band geek from 4th grade to high school. Always loved band music and still do to this day. Love the Auburn band.
The Horse
The Hey Song
Eye of the Tiger
Tiger Rag
War Eagle
Sweet Caroline
Word Up
Pregame Fanfare
The Horse is my favorite tune closely followed by Tiger Rag. Both are excellent.

Got to go with Word Up.
And I wish they pump in Thunderstruck more on the PA before and during the game. What a great pump up song for football.

They've started doing Pantera and For Whom the Bell Tolls on third down, I'm a happy camper.

third down
At the game this past weekend, they were showing on the jumbotron AU highlights of sacks and big tackles on 3rd down with a message like "get loud" or "make the ground shake." I don't remember that from the games I went to earlier in the season.
Did anyone else notice this? I thought it looked really good.

I also like Glory Glory because it means we just scored.

The student section does a great job with Sweet Caroline when there is enough of them left to make some noise. We sit just above the student section but dont get the full effect of it.

As an ex-AUMB member, I'll chime in. The most fun songs for me to play were:
Tiger Rags -very challenging music and fun horn rocks
Alma Mater- Singing your Part
Thumb Cheer- Slow intro into War Eagle
Long Train Running- Basketball Pep Band-

Word Up is the correct answer. Gonna see if I can find a video of Ragdoll because that one's dope too
The band doesn't play Hey Song anymore. ;_;

All of the above. I just like to hear a band that's awesome due to what Vandy has.

Did y'all ever play Dr. Vinson's arrangement of Earth, Wind, and Fire's 'In The Stone'?

That was my Sophomore year...awesome arrangement.
Posted on 11/7/16 at 4:54 pm to AUdietitian04
I do believe that was an original arrangement by Dr. V during the years I was in the band.

Word Up is definitely the best. Sadly my woman's a Clemson alum, so Tiger Rag just annoys me now.
And who the hell knew that tune was called The Horse?
