The game itself, rising talent on our team, the absolute meltdown and collapse of Tennessees team.
What else can you ask for? I'm enjoying every second

Didn't ask for it but really pumped that we won a big game like that in front of a bunch of really good recruits. Spells victory down the line....

The future sure looks good. I know we all questioned whether Muschamp was the right guy, and as this season has progressed we are finding the answer to be that he is.

Sure has made life easier for me.
Loved being there, loved having friends from all over the country there with me, loved getting the win. My out of towner friends are still talking about how great the atmosphere was.

Haha...I kinda think I may be a little too addicted to Gamecock football...I woke up Sunday morning and my first thought wasn't about family or work or what I had to do that day...it was "Holy...shite! It wasn't a dream! We really did beat those frickers last night!" And some of those hopeful, happy and encouraging feelings that I have not had since Shaw's last game were back. I liken it most closely to how it felt when Mizzou doinked the fg that yr Shaw led that comeback...that's how that game Saturday felt.
Willy B was LOUD and it really did seem to have an effect on the vololols. It was like you could just feel it...we were going to win that damned game or die trying. Stars, hope, renewed faith..were all born Saturday night.
And Willy B was just so happy to have her stands filled with rabid Gamecock fans again, Sandstorming, cheering our team on to defeat a ranked vols team..and at night..well, if it is at all possible for a stadium to orgasm, Willy B had an epic one Saturday night...one she'll not soon forget.

The melt really makes this win truly special. They are so close to convincing themselves Kiffin wants to come back.

indeed it has
those clowns are fortunate the win Sat night wasn't Carolina's 10th in the last 12. it's nauseating to think back among the games USC should have won in the series.
Saturday was the 4th time in the series the game was played on Oct 29th. Carolina is now 3-1 on that date, 2-0 in Knoxville.

Was talking about that game right after the game Saturday. It was Spurrier's first big win at South Carolina too.

Ended up watching the end of that game out of boredom. Overnight shift stuff. Managed to snag this:

FWIW that 2005 is one of my all time favorite life memories. I was 15 and went to the game with my dad (a USC alum himself and raised me on the Gamecocks).
UT ended up having a rough year in 2005 but they were still ranked 23rd, we hadn't beaten them since 1992, and never in Knoxville.
As a result, neither of us expected to win. We kept telling each other "don't worry about the result, we're just going for the experience" (it was my first road game ever and my Dad's first and only to UT).
We were in those sardin can upper deck seats on the side of the kick and I remember it well. The kick coming off his foot looked like it would barely reach the end zone.. but it just kept going and going and squeezed in there.
I jumped so high out of my seat nearly tumbled down the upper deck.
Again, we were just 7-5 and UT 5-7, but what a game and memory that was.
(My dad and most of my family on both sides are Gaffney High alum so we particularly enjoyed watching Sidney show out)
