Strong actually looks decent.

Better than Witter. My guess is he doesn't play next game.

He looks like an SEC running back.

They shouldn't put him out there. It shows how dumb they really are.

Mizzou looked better when they put a lot of their freshmen on the field at the same time on offense.

Leaving Texas in recruiting was a huge mistake. Really seeing that effect now. The junior/senior classes from the first 2 years in the SEC should be the leaders/best players on the roster.

That seems to be the most obvious takeaway.

Did you hear the announcer ask whether Lock was our long term solution? WOW.

Yes he did! I think he would look even better out there in the 1st quarter rather than the 4th.

Look at his stats against P5 opponents.
46% completion 8 TDs 12 Ints.
He has all the physical tools, doesn't get much help from his OL or WRs. He needs to play better.

Drew has improved this year. He is even running the ball now and that can only help the overall offense. The throws he is making this year, like the 2 td passes to Mason last game, would probably have been under/overthrown last year. It could be the entire offense needs another year to mature into something special. Another year for the offensive line to get bigger and stronger.

He does have things to work on but is a sophomore and has time.

Agreed. He is better. Those two games against LSU and Florida were just total disasters all around.

Pretty much the entire offense is back next year so you could expect some more consistency. The defense is scary though.

The OL is doing their job with regards to pass protection HOWEVER the WRs are a bunch of no catching, no getting space, fumbling pussies.

The skill players that spent their developmental years under Pat Washington are an issue.

J'Mon Moore is the most fundamentally flawed WR to have spent 4 years in the program and start in the last decade.

Blair and Dilosa have been passed by two RSFR and a true FR when they should be helping anchor the unit.

It isn't because of a lack of physical talent, IMO.

I agree....I'm willing to bet I could get 6 guys on this board that could consistently out produce our WRs bc it's like you said, not a talent issue.....it's a want issue.

We wouldn't be scoring on 30+ yard pass plays unless they allowed us to call a cab to the end zone tho

They need to get the ball in the hands of Johnson, Mason, Black and Wingo in these last few games and let them make plays. Totally disappointed in Ross. Run Strong and Crockett more and let's see what we have Ryan Williams.

I like Johnson but he has ball protection issues.

J'mon will never learn

I'd run a rotation of Smith, Hall, Mason, Johnson and Wingo at WR

Crockett, Strong at RB with Witter as the 3rd down back.

Time to play the young guys.

On paper I agree but the problem is blocking & Witter is much better than the others

Statistically, Witter is one of the best pass-blocking RBs in the country. That doesn't gain us a single yard when he's running the ball.

But he can't block & carry the ball at the same time.
