Atmosphere at Bryant Denny

After some discussion on this board about Kyle I paid more attention on Sat. I can tell you that Fan noise at Bryant Denny is about the same as Kyle. The loudest.. by far.. was the fumble recovery TD by Bama. That was the only time I thought the crowd noise was super high. Most of our false starts seemed to be receivers split out so line was hearing snap count fine. No difference in noise level vs Kyle and Honestly I thought it wasn't as loud as Kyle most of the time.
The big difference for me is the music pumped in at Bryant Denny. They have that stuff booming up until about 2-4 seconds before the snap. This music is loud and this only goes on when visitor is on offense. Seriously doubt Knight could be heard over that. I assume this is legal but if that stuff is allowed, A&M should be doing it when other team is on offense. No crowd will ever be nearly as loud as piped in rap music.

I believe artificial noise is legal until the QB is under center in the SEC.

frick. That. shite. There's nothing intimidating about loud rap music and it kills the environment. There's a reason Kyle has been an awesome environment the past few years and it's because we cut down on the artificial stuff

College is better than NFL because of the character and personality of the games, venues, and fan bases.

I read dozens of posts about how quiet it was last night didn't compare to Kyle.

No, didn't say it was intimidating. Not intimidating at all. It is disruptive to calling plays at line of scrimmage. Players can't hear the play being called at the line.
Not sure how "Intimidation" got into this conversation. The last thing I want to hear at a game is some blasting rap music every time the other team comes to the line on offense. If you don't think it is an advantage for Bama at home you are woefully mistaken. It's intentional and no doubt effective.

TBF, tennessee fans had a similar impression about kyle compared to neyland. seems every traveling fan is a little biased.

Of course they do. Go to enough games and enough stadiums there really isn't that much difference.
As I have said numerous times... the defense we play at Kyle is what brings the excitement and the noise. The defense is intimidating, the crowd noise is not. Not sure why people tend to believe crowd noise is intimidating. What is happening between the goal lines is the only thing that is intimidating. The crowd noise comes with that. This is how it has always been and how it will always be.

honestly I've never heard a louder stadium than when the fumble returned for a td occurred. It was deafening.
Liked the stadium a lot. Loved that they had like 50+ entrances - no long lines to enter or exit.
Lower level concessions on the east side are dated, but I don't go to games for the food.

Absolutely the loudest point of the game by far. It was ESPN Thanksgiving night Jackie Sherrill loud. That's about the only comparison I can make.
